UPDATE - 2016 Team and Individual Picture Schedule
*** If you are one of the three teams scheduled for pictures tonight at PNC, nothing has changed but please read the specifics on the picture ordering process (Bantam A, PW AAA Major and Bantam AA Minor) ***
Parents/Coaches/Managers, please read this very carefully. We tried to make the team and individual pictures more accommodating this year which lead to multiple dates and times for team and individual photos but with that always comes a lot of questions. Please be sure everyone understands the logistics for individual pictures this weekend at PNC Arena. You only need to show up if you want individual shots that are in addition to the team photo. TSS Photography has some really nice options and will be offering some action shots this year as well.
These are for your individual photos, which are voluntary, but we encourage you and your team to take advantage of this opportunity. Photos will be taken and then posted online once the team photo build is complete (All players and coaches must be photographed before the team image can be built). All ordering will take place online after the images have been posted. This will give you a chance to select your favorite poses and customize your order as you would like using your player’s photos. Siblings can also now be placed on the same order using this method. (Players can wear either red or white uniforms… personal preference but please be sure to bring game jerseys and socks). Full gear less helmets is required. Total time should not be more than 20 minutes once dressed and ready to go.
You only need to attend one of the dates below:
Saturday, October 22nd at PNC Arena 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. for all players that are not traveling
Sunday, October 23rd at PNC Arena 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for all players that are not traveling One final make-up date will be Monday, November 14th at PNC Arena from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
If you missed the team picture during Player Development last week or this week and are not traveling this weekend, please try to get all of your photos done this weekend so we do not delay the build of the team photos... this is your ONLY chance to be included in your team photo. Please bring your RED jersey so you can have that picture taken as well. Coaches, please wear your black warm-up jacket for the team photo. No hats please. The photo to be used in the team photo will be taken against a green screen off ice. We will have a station set up in the room across the hallway from where the Zambonis are parked.
THE FOLLOWING COACHES/PLAYERS ARE MISSING FROM THE TEAM PHOTOS, PLEASE BE SURE TO GET THESE DONE THIS WEEKEND!
Former Junior Hurricane Goalie Gives Back to Community
Logan Halladay, a former goalie with the Junior Hurricanes, has found a unique way to give back to the community. Now playing for the Bloomington Thunder, Logan is using his mask to raise awareness for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation. The Jr Hurricanes are proud to see alumni players making their mark for worthy causes.
We have all been saddened at the photos and stories of flood waters in Eastern North Carolina. The father of Cam Plants, defensemen for the 15U AAA Junior Hurricanes has seen the devastation first hand. Chad Plants has worked for Quickie Manufacturing Corporation in Lumberton for 12 years. Quickie is the largest employer in Robeson County. Nearly 400 Quickie employees have been directly affected by hurricane flooding and many families lost everything they owned. Chad wanted to help and reached out to the parents on the team, who quickly rallied and brought supplies such as bottled water, clothing, diapers, baby food and other basic necessities. Chad filled 7 pallets with supplies and will deliver them directly to the families in need. Just another wonderful example of the “hockey family” coming together to help others!

This past spring the Junior Hurricanes entered into a multi-year partnership with Five Hole Sports and Bauer to be the official uniform and apparel providers of our organization. Five Hole and Bauer both seemed like a natural fit. There are other benefits to this partnership as well. Bauer will be providing marketing support over the length of the agreement and Five Hole will be offering discounts at each of their stores.
